Dr Joe Dispenza Connects the Brain, the Mind, and the Reality of Everyday LIfe

Just back from a wonderful SPECT brain imaging conference out in Newport Beach, CA hosted by one of my esteemed mentors, Daniel Amen, world thought leader in the clinical application for brain imaging. It was good to chat with Daniel again, he has remarkable energy and insight, and I'll tell you more about that meeting in some next posts.

The attendees at that SPECT conference ranged from brain beginners to a nuclear medicine physician trained at Harvard, and each person added an interesting dimension to the meeting. The theme, the two most important elements of conference sound simple, but remain complex: These are the SPECT scan results, now:

  1. what do they mean, and then,
  2. how do we use SPECT clinically.

Met a delightful new colleague out there, Dr Joe Dispenza whom you all should know, and can know, through his film work and his books. Joe was one of the most often quoted clinicians in "What the Bleep Do We Know?" –a film about physics, the brain, the mind, and spirituality. In his book Evolve Your Brain, he discusses specific ways to facilitate your own personal development.

His quote from "What the Bleep.." can start you thinking on a deeper brain level. Even in casual conversation he manifests an unusual connection that evolves from his brief morning reflection:

Quoted from "What the Bleep"…

"So, if we're consciously designing our destiny, if we're consciously,
from a spiritual standpoint, throwing in the idea that our thoughts can
affect our reality or affect our life, because reality equals life…,
then, I have this little pact that I have when I create my day."

"I say to myself, I'm taking this time to create my day, and I'm
infecting the Quantum Field. Now, if it is in fact [infecting my/the energy
field], the Observer's watching me the whole time that I'm doing this,

and there is a spiritual aspect to myself. Then, show me a sign today,
that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and
bring them in a way that I won't expect."

Joe is a remarkable person, and is on a book tour for his new book not out on Amazon yet. It's always stimulating to meet those who *get it.* -Who get the evolving interface between brain, mind and practice. It was a great conversation, and I confess I look forward to many more. Best wishes for your new book, Joe.

For those of you who have read my book Deep Recovery, and reviewed by own interest in quantum physics as it applies to everyday life, it will be easy to see how Joe and I hit it off.

Stay posted here. I will tell you more about his new book when it arrives.

Any of you have thoughts about Dr Dispenza or "Bleep?"

  1. Digging Deeper-
Many thanks for your comments, appreciate your follow up and interest in clarifying all the background bleeping noise.

Noticed negative comments on the web after my post, and wondered about these notes that you shared here, some of which popped up elsewhere in more vitriolic tones.

My bottom line: Bleep does reach out into the ethers with ideas not completely codified and measured by science, but connected with some experience – whatever that experience has been for some people. Yep, that does make it “not scientific.” But, as you can see from my posts, I am not sure, especially after reading the Black Swan noted here,

-that we are completely on top of reality at this moment anyway. Science is clearly going in the right direction. I love real evidence, but I am also listening with this other ear.

-And the spiritual dimension of matters is often overlooked by many on the pure evidence side. Increasingly spirituality is entering the brain/body mix, is clearly present in our lives, so, my thought is simple… let’s talk about it.

I can tell you I haven’t channeled anyone, – but I openly confess I would be quite pleased if I could, and even more pleased if that experience told me something useful about how to live this live more productively and compassionately.

If someone does say something to me from the other side, I will be interested in the phenomenon and the message. And I will report it in the very next post!

I can tell you from personal experience Joe Dispenza is a special person, period.

My parting micro summary – I do think he does encourage deeper thinking about a more meaningful life. Hard to argue with anyone trying to help with that objective.

    Thanks
    Chuck

    Hello Dr. Parker,

I would have thought you had already done your own research on the bleep and its claims. The material used in the film often had no basis in fact. i.e.: The Emoto water study, the fable about the Indians not being able to see Columbus’s ship, the concept that one can create their own reality having a basis in Quantum mechanics.

While the Chiropractor who espouses the brain science in the film appears to have good intentions, his statements rely on a lot of “ifs” and no proven hypotheses.

Being a long time student of Ramthas School of Enlightenment (that is a school run by JZKnight who supposedly channels a 35,000 year old entity from Lemuria in Yelm Washington) much of the bleep film is colored by the teachings of the “school”.

JZknight/Ramtha were featured in the film along with Dr. Joe Dispenza and Miceal Ledwith (ex- president of an Irish seminary who resigned after making a settlement in a sexual abuse case involving a student.)

Many of the other speakers in the film had previously lectured at the school (and sold books).

Dr David Albert, Columbia head of the Theoretical Physics department was also in the film and there is much info available where he explains how even though he patiently spent hours explaining to the filmmakers both the history and the reasons why the concept of consciousness creating reality is unfounded.

The filmmakers used his good name and edited his comments in such a way as to make it seem like he was in agreement with their premises.

The fact that so many of the persons in the film had connections to the controversial school would not impugn the information. The fact that it was presented in a deceptive, misleading manner and that the facts do not back up the premises does.

One of the producers of the film was asked when shown a photo of an Autistic child if the child “created his own reality” at a lecture.

    He said yes.

Just thought you might like to check out some of these facts in the event that you were not already aware of them.

Thanks for the space and place.
