CorePsych on YouTube: It’s a Start

CorePsych Radio: ADHD Multiple Diagnoses

Now I have it:

YouTube embedded, – now it's easy for you to click and play,

One more point: I do have a big problem with those who take either side so vigorously: The Functional Medicine Guys announce with great certainty that all of us Traditional Psych guys don't have a clue. Interestingly, all this does is inappropriately polarize the situation, and the patients suffer. Traditional Psychiatry has done very well with thousands of interventions – we can do better.

CorePsych Readers: in the complicated life of new Brain Function studies there is no only way

This next iteration of the Diagnostic Manual will not go far enough… it's not a bad thing, it's just that brain/mind science is so much further along. My reports on YouTube will address this controversy, very carefully, but for your consideration.

The Comprehensive View: I'm solidly with the comprehensive medicine crowd, as long as they don't call my traditional colleagues stupid. – And would welcome conversations with the traditional crowd if they would open their eyes to these interesting scientific advances in brain science.

The next step: – for everyone in this controversy is healthy affect management, and increasing dialog – I hope these videos will encourage those additional conversations.

I value your feedback, please drop a comment to grow this video process.

Thanks,

cp

    Hey doc!

How’s it going… you look younger in the video lol! I haven’t made any videos in quite some time and may get around to doing it again in the near future. I am enjoying getting out there and talking to groups of people and relating my experiences. I mention your blog all the time and for good reason, I like how you incorporate the Biological and metabolic issues into your overall analysis! Too many doctors, I think, prescribe medication without a full examination of all biological/metabolic issues presented with each individual and unique patient. That may help explain why it is so hard to find a treatment which works for some and why some medical treatments actually have a negative, step-back effect. I also agree with something else you wrote about. Some people take sides of procedures and treatments so vigorously that it doesn’t help anyone; it just creates animosity and confusion which, in many areas, we already have enough of.

Keep up with the videos, looking forward to the next one!

    • Bryan,
Thanks so much for your kind remarks, – the video thing is anxiety provoking, no matter how many presentations you have given… seems so odd talking only to a camera – and with the thot, not of the numbers, but “forever” lingering in the back of your head. No retakes, no explanations.

You are doing a remarkable job over at http://www.adderworld.com, and I strongly encourage anyone with any ADHD to check it out, – it’s a great site to stay connected. And for those of you who don’t know Bryan he is an author, with considerable experience with his own challenges described in his book, available at his ning membership site.

      Thanks Bryan,
      More underway-
      Chuck
