Denial of ADHD - Yet so many are at war with the facts

WWII – London Bombed

Take a moment to reflect on the history of the Nazi Blitz of London – Sept. '40 to May, '41 – more than 40,000 civilians died, but the US, at the time, remained in serious denial. FDR didn't declare war with Germany until Dec. 11, 1941 – after Pearl Harbor. The majority of the American public thought they could remain uninvolved, that the English tragedy wouldn't visit their US doorstep.

In 2013 the tragedy of ADHD, Executive Function challenges, lives right here on our collective doorsteps. Denial absolutely can't correct Reality.

It's Time For Reality

I've written details regarding the current ADHD Diagnostic and Treatment Tragedy in these CorePsych pages for the past seven years – actual reports on the vagaries of life out here on the fronts. Yet many still suffer with the innocence, the denial, and the overt disregard for useful data, simply because it doesn't at first appear as a confirmed Reality on their own personal doorstep. The profound denial regarding the useful Reality of neuroscience data with ADHD remains all too commonplace, – actually the ADHD standard of care!

Solutions Underway

From the recent ADHD Coaches Organization [ACO] meeting in Atlanta, to the Attention Deficit Disorder Association [ADDA] meeting in Detroit, to the training activities at CoreBrain, – solutions, fresh perspectives, provide an improved ADHD/EFD treatment picture. Both professionals and the public find new opportunities to listen to improved diagnostic and treatment details. At CoreBrain twenty outstanding ADHD Coaches completed training: ADHD Meds in Action – and many are listed here as CoreBrain Coach Partners for your reference.

Reality Matters – For Both Public and Coaches

Reality, facing Reality, was the theme of my several presentations at ACO and ADDA, and I've decided to take that Reality message out to the public through our amazing Adobe Connect Software [on any device, anywhere with Internet] to anyone interested in useful, peer-reviewed, ADHD diagnostic and treatment tools.

Please open the ADHD Reality Program signup page to indicate your interest for information when we set the training start date. And remember: Adobe Connect will remain available – slides and video for months to review after those presentations, even if you're in an unacceptable time zone to attend the live presentations. This program takes the details from New ADHD Medication Rules and translates them directly into applications that will work wherever you live. Details matter – and I'm looking forward to discussing them with you to provide Reality answers.

Let's address the denial – and stop the indiscriminate bombing…

Reality is that society is going through a painful shift in paradigm. “The poser” paradigm… Everything is hollow and not worth attention because it brings no value. An ADHD sufferer just blocks himself from the surrounding meaningless stimulants, ADHD maybe considered a natural response to the environment. Any opinions doctor ?

    • edd,
No doubt the environment is part of it – just the profusion of information and increased sorting is unbelievable. “We’re not in Kansas anymore.” It’s a different world, where we work, deteriorating family structures, what we eat, the profusion of toxic elements – no question. The real issue: how can we all work together to move that evolving paradigm forward more quickly?

Thanks for your part out there – and joining me to walk on this same Path,
