  1. Chanel,
Have not used it, have read about it, and do see it as an important addition to a full spectrum evaluation for those who don’t show up on other evidence, – thanks for sharing this excellent update!

Readers should take some time with Chanel’s pyrrole link – it’s comprehensive with several great articles.

    Hi Dr. Parker,
As usual, interesting links! This is off the subject, but important just the same. Are you familiar with a genetic condition called Pyroluria? Have you had any patients tested for it? Have you treated any patients for it? I’m wondering what your experience is regarding it.

I have a lot of Pyroluria symptoms, which can include short-term memory problems, learning (so do at least a couple other immediate family members), & will be collecting a sample this next weekend, using a lab kit from Bio-Center Lab in Wichita, KS. Apparently they are especially well-known for their accuracy of the urine pyrroles test.

For any readers, Information on Pyroluria can be found in the book “The Mood Cure”, by Julia Ross, as well as ‘Depression-Free, Naturally”, by Joan Mathews Larson, Ph.D. There are free previews of both books in Google Books – just type in the name of the book, then in the search section for each book, type in Pyroluria. Here’s one helpful online link regarding Pyroluria: http://www.nutritional-healing.com.au/content/articles-content.php?heading=Pyroluria . This article contains links for more Pyroluria info. online.

    Thanks, Dr. Parker! 🙂
