Personal note whilst packing:

Hey team, just a brief personal note to keep you informed of the travels and summer writing lull. It's about summer Vyvanse presentations on the road.

OK, I will again date myself… I am a recovering sentimentalist – I do fondly recall a favorite early 60s song: I Left My Heart in San Francisco.  With a long standing travel bug, and love of the road, it's easy to remember the wish for an escape to the Cally scene as a Missouri farm boy from Dexter, MO, [down in the boot heel near Poplar Bluff, we lived on Thrower Street – there near the Union Pacific RR tracks]. Lived there ~ 1952-1956, when the post WWII hobos riding the free boxcar RR, would come by to beg for food on their way down the line.

I confess a touch of envy for traveling down new roads with those boxcar dreamers. It would have been better than picking cotton…

It's like that old WWI refrain: “How you going to keep 'em down on the farm after they have been to gay Paree?”

Just back from 3 days in Cincinnati 2 weeks ago, then the next week 2 in Northern KY and 1 in beautiful Dayton – it's been great out there with some interesting folks, and physicians/nurses in the trenches with ADHD adults and children. I love those experiences.

But I have to tell you, I am really looking forward to the Cally trip for a lot of reasons:

  1. First a day in Sacramento – haven't been there before – Wed
  2. One day in the high romance of San Francisco – Thu
  3. One day in San Jose –  the ‘Civic Heart of the Silicon Valley‘ – Fri
  4. The weekend with my son, great daughter-in-law and reading-all-the-letters-grandson in LA,
  5. – and I get to ‘baby' sit one night with the boy and the books!

Yes, it's put a crimp in writing The Patient's Guide for ADHD Medications, but a better, more utilitarian plan for the Guide is emerging, – and I do expect it to be done summer's end, just in time for school!

Thanks for your patience,

Will keep you posted, and will record the CorePsych Radio Monday night for Thursday, with a brief blog about that show when I have put some more time in on the prep. – Sticking to the theme of neurotransmitter precursors for specific psych conditions.

Talk soon,

cp
