Medications For Special Needs Children | The Coffee Klatch For Thanksgiving

Marianne Russo at the Blog Talk Radio Coffee Klatch regularly discusses important details for care and medical insights with Special Needs Children at the Coffee Klatch on Blog Talk Radio. This Coffee Klatch with Marianne program goes significantly beyond just-manipulating-psychiatiric-medications.

Convenient Time – Sunday, After Family Time

This Thanksgiving weekend do consider listening in as Marianne and I discuss the multiple challenges present with medication for Special Needs Children – the most vulnerable kids. Listen up after the weekend is over at 9 PM Sunday Night, Nov. 27th. We'll discuss Special Needs Children Medication Details for about 1 hour – regarding why Special Needs Children regularly present in the office with so many refractory medication challenges – and what to do about those challenges.

ADHD medication misunderstandings and shortsighted stimulant applications are only part of a more serious, more pervasive problem.

Many more answers will be found in more comprehensive biomedical evaluations – details during the program.

The Biomedical Side

In retrospect I can see why I didn't see the problems myself: Special Needs Diagnostic Criteria remain woefully inadequate to cover the complexity of the biomedical issues so often found. The current [and next] psych diagnostic manual is all about appearances and pervasively misses essential biomedical details. If you don't ask the correct biomedical question, if you don't know what the biomedical questions should include, or if you simply know them and just won't ask them – those Special Needs Challenges remain uncorrected.

And, my friends, Special Needs Medication problems can then remain uncorrected for a lifetime… if not identified at the outset.

Biomedical details imply just that: measurable medical data regarding underlying medical problems exist with so many special needs kids. So often special needs children manifest underlying bowel and nutritional problems that just don't get on the radar. Why? Because too many forget the basic fact that meds must pass through the body before they make it up there to the mind. Sounds ridiculous, but that fact is almost universal.
